Laugh and learn: the importance of business analysis

Whilst this video is funny, there is a deeper, darker message. As Analysts, Admins and Developers if we don’t spend enough time working out what users NEED (square holes) rather than what they said they wanted or what we thought they wanted (square, round, triangle holes) we develop a solutions that are never used. Then you watch the users using the apps you built and a little bit of your soul dies!!! IT’S. SO. PAINFUL.

So this video is another reminder that we should spend longer on analysis (using Elements) and fight the urge to rush into building apps. BTW Salesforce just released a training course on business analysis and process mapping and there is a Trailhead Live session on business analysis
